FADE IN:
EXT. CANTERBURY, ENGLAND - NIGHT
As the moon light catches up to the river's edge, the flower
petals begin their journey through the wind, swirling
aimlessly, and landing in the warm waters of GoldLife creek.
Staring out into the distance, absent-mindedly thinking of
the only person she ever loved. The only one who understood,
and protected. The only one who could say those beautiful
words, Elizabeth's past is soon to be revealed as she sits
upon the perfectly demolished rocks, of what seems to be the
remains of the now ruined Canterbury, England. A single tear
drop, from an expressionless face, fades to unwanted
memories.

FADE IN:
EXT. KINGSWORTH HOUSEHOLD, FLOWER GARDEN - MORNING
[Elizabeth dances to the music her older brother, Vance makes
with his newly hand made viola, smiling, and swirling
gracefully, as her elderly and most respected father, Watson
enters Elizabeth's mother's immense flower garden, looking for
Elizabeth and Vance.]
WATSON
My dear children, Vance, Elizabeth,
please do pay deep attention to the
words I am about to speak to you.
[Elizabeth and Vance both stop their activity as they heard
the tension in their father's voice.]
ELIZABETH
What is it father? What terrible
account has gotten you so tensed?
VANCE
Father, do sit down, you mustn't be
burdened as so. Tell us what is
bothering you.
[Watson walks slowly with the support of his children towards
the benches and sits down, taking a deep breath in.]
WATSON
My children, I have the most of
tragic news.
[Watson begins tearing up, frightening his children as they
stare at him in concern.]
Your dear uncle, my beloved brother
Samuel has left us for the heavens.
His adopted son, Caliber as you
know was in the Military Force, but
has finally returned. After the
last war, Caliber has returned,
suffering a great, and tragic
mental illness. His father's
worries lead him to a high fever
then death. Now Caliber is alone,
as you know already that his mother
has died long ago, and of course as
did his late parents, as he was an
orphan before Samuel took him in.
Though he may be dangerous, as his
illness sometimes causes him urges
to destroy, we MUST help him, and
take good care of him. This is my
request to you both, my dears,
please do not deny it.
The news has shocked them both. Surprisingly, Verona,
Elizabeth's and Vance's mother is standing at the entrance of
the garden, and as she hears the most terrible news she begins
to cry for the loss.
[Elizabeth hurries to her mother's side.]
ELIZABETH
Mother please, don't cry. It'll be
alright.
VANCE
Father we would never dream of
denying any request, but do tell
us, how dangerous has poor Caliber
become?
[Watson looks down at his hands as his tears never stop
pouring out.]
WATSON
He had already attempted taking the
life away from two men, but never
succeeded, thankfully, as there
were too many men who stopped him
in time. But don't worry, I will
also be there to help you take care
of the poor soul.
VANCE
Father, what about Elizabeth? She
can't be put in danger, surely
you've thought of that.
WATSON
Yes, of course I have my son, but
as we all know, Elizabeth and
Caliber have known each other for
the longest of times. They are also
quite close, and as you see now,
Caliber needs the closest people to
him, and the closest one to Caliber
now is my dear Elizabeth.
[Watson looks at his daughter apologetically.]
I am so extremely sorry my love,
but this is all I could think of.
Do not think that I have abandoned
you with this burden because I hate
you, oh quite the opposite, you,
along with your brother and mother
are the dearest to me, and always
will be. Please, do forgive a
selfish, foolish old man as myself.
[Elizabeth nods understandingly.]
ELIZABETH
Don't be so foolish father, I
understand completely and I am more
than willing to do anything for
you, and for the safety of my dear
old friend Caliber. Please do not
speak with so little faith in me.
WATSON
Oh, dear child, I have all the
faith of the world in you. I thank
you both for what you have always
done for me, and for future work
you will have to be doing for
Caliber.
