Note: Alright guys this will be our first debate, I want to see how many of you guys will agree or disagree with me, and how well you can argue without raising hell, haha.
Argument for:
In general smoking, like using drugs, should be completely illegal and banned from all countries.
Not only is smoking bad for the user, it also influences the health of those around the user. I myself have experience with second hand smoking, since my dad always smokes around us, which is unintentional since we never leave him alone when he visits. I don’t think I really care much about my brother and I being effected by his smoking, but I definitely feel bad for my two younger sisters, especially if, and hopefully not, my dad doesn’t live long enough to see my youngest sister graduate, which I don't think should be a problem with my dad personally, but you guys get the point.
Younger generations are mostly effected by this, let it be their parents smoking or even them smoking in secret, and don’t even think about arguing with me on that, I've seen plenty.
Not only is smoking addictive, the intake also increases every year without the user even noticing. This could be one of the biggest financial problems most people have. Imagine how much money you could save if you didn’t smoke!
Relationships. Who wants to marry a man/woman who smokes? With all honesty. I wouldn’t.
Being around a smoker is bad enough, but having your child, or being pregnant around a smoker is even worse. Some people argue that it wouldn’t matter if you didn’t smoke around them. Research shows it, that 70% of the smoke that comes out of your cigarette is absorbed by your clothes, which means that if you are even near a pregnant woman, with all her senses heightened, your smell will be more powerful than ever, and it can effect her and the baby.
Smokers need to stop and think about the next generation, their health, and the lives of those around them.
Smoking kills, but you don't have to.
Smoking should be prohibited
